Seeing as how I am a simple girl, a first date doesn't have to be anything extravagant in order for me to have a good time. As long as it is somewhere that allows for good conversation and allows for getting to know each other, I would enjoy it. Things like dinner, walking around a festival, or meeting up for a drink is good, too!
